Event description:
Led by Paul Messier, Head of the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (IPCH) Lens Media Lab, this panel discussion aims to formulate an expansive and inclusive concept of cultural heritage, and investigate various modes of preservation. Panelists will cover themes including the purpose and utility of memory, the balance between the global and local, the relevance of preserving physical objects, and investigates the question: What gets saved, where, and who decides?
